Chef Mahindan Rajah is the Owner and Head Chef of Chilliwack Airport Restaurant, bringing over 18 years of culinary experience and a lifelong passion for exceptional food and hospitality. His career includes valuable experience at HY’S Steakhouse, where he developed his expertise in premium steaks, open-fire grilling, and fine dining.

Born and raised in Sri Lanka, Chef Mahindan’s love for cooking began at an early age, inspired by his rich culinary heritage and a deep appreciation for fresh, high-quality ingredients. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences through craftsmanship, consistency, and genuine hospitality.

At Chilliwack Airport Restaurant, Chef Mahindan leads every aspect of the kitchen with his philosophy of “elevating simplicity.” His menu showcases expertly grilled steaks, fresh local ingredients, and timeless flavors prepared with precision and care. His goal is to provide every guest with outstanding food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps them coming back.

Chef Daminda is the creative force behind the pastry program at Chilliwack Airport Restaurant, where he brings together precision, artistry, and a deep passion for traditional baking. With a commitment to excellence, he specializes in crafting desserts that balance refined technique with the comforting flavors of home-style baking.

Drawing inspiration from classic European pastry methods as well as timeless family recipes, Chef Daminda creates an evolving selection of handcrafted pies, pastries, and seasonal desserts. Each item is prepared in-house using carefully selected ingredients to ensure consistent quality and exceptional taste.

Known for his attention to detail and dedication to freshness, Chef Daminda believes that every dessert should leave a lasting impression. His creations have become a highlight of the dining experience, offering guests a perfect finishing touch to any meal.
